Bubble film in the logistics process to avoid being punctured by sharp objects
2025-03-11 13:34:48

In the process of logistics transportation, the puncture of the Bubble Film by sharp objects may reduce its buffer protection performance, the following are some ways to avoid the puncture of the bubble film:

Pre-packaging treatment

Check items: Before using Bubble Wrap packaging items, carefully check whether the surface of the item has sharp corners, burrs or protrusions. If found, the item is properly treated, such as polishing the sharp edge of metal products, deburring the wood products with burr, etc., to eliminate the hidden danger of piercing the bubble film from the source.

Wrap sharp parts: For some sharp parts that cannot be polished and other processing, such as knives, tools with pointed, etc., first use soft materials, such as sponges, soft cloth, etc., to wrap the sharp parts, and then use bubble film for overall packaging, by increasing the buffer layer to prevent sharp objects from directly contacting the bubble film.

Packaging process operation

Choose the right bubble film: according to the shape of the item, weight and sharpness and other factors, choose the appropriate thickness and toughness of the bubble film. For packaging that may be in contact with sharp objects, it is preferred to choose a thicker, higher strength bubble film, which has relatively stronger puncture resistance and can better resist the puncture of sharp objects.

Correct wrapping method: Ensure that the bubble film is tightly and evenly wrapped on the surface of the item, avoid the situation of slack, folds or gaps in the bubble film, and prevent sharp objects from piercing from these weak parts. For items with irregular shapes, it is necessary to cut and wrap them according to their shape characteristics, so that the bubble film fits the outline of the item and reduces the risk of puncture caused by non-fit.

Loading and securing

Reasonable loading: When loading the packaged items into the transport container or vehicle, pay attention to handling gently to avoid random throwing resulting in collision with sharp objects in the transport vehicle. For goods with sharp edges and corners, try to put it in a position that is not easy to rub and collide with other items, and it can also be isolated from other goods, such as using cardboard, wood, etc.

Strengthen fixing: The use of ropes, bandages, fixed frame and other tools to firmly fix the goods, to prevent the goods in the transport process due to shaking, jolting and sharp objects in the transport or collision with each other. For some easy to roll cylindrical items with sharp parts, special attention should be paid to fixing them well to prevent rolling from puncturing the bubble film.

Environmental management of transportation and storage

Check the means of transport: before loading the goods, carefully check the interior of transport vehicles, containers and other transport vehicles for sharp objects, such as nails protruding, metal parts warped, etc. If so, clean up or repair it in time to ensure the safety of the transportation environment.

Keep the storage environment clean: in the storage process of the warehouse, to keep the warehouse floor and shelves clean, timely clean the debris on the ground, metal chips and other sharp items. Regular inspection and maintenance of shelves, containers and other facilities in the warehouse, repair or replace parts with sharp corners and damaged parts, to prevent the puncturing of bubble film during handling and storage.
